Chris Haggerty, PhD
Chris Haggerty is the Director of Data Science at NewYork-Presbyterian, with a broad research background including cardiovascular disease, predictive modeling, medical imaging, genomics, and biomedical informatics. At NYP, he leads a team of data scientists and engineers in the development, validation, and clinical implementation of machine learning models to improve patient care and outcomes, particularly related to cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Haggerty received his PhD in Bioengineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, followed by postdoctoral training in the Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Kentucky. Prior to NYP, he was an Associate Professor of Translational Data Science and Informatics at Geisinger Health in Danville, PA, where he led multiple NIH-funded research studies in cardiovascular genetics and industry-sponsored development of deep learning-based predictive modeling.
