Heidi Hartman, MD
Dr. Hartman is an Assistant Professor in Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center who specializes in clinical research and advanced echocardiography. She received her MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and her MS in Patient-Oriented Research from Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health. She completed her internal medicine residency, chief residency in internal medicine, and cardiology and advanced echocardiography fellowships at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Dr. Hartman’s prior research has focused on the use of machine learning techniques to perform multi-omics analysis in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Her current work focuses on the use of artificial intelligence to improve diagnosis and care of patients with cardiovascular disease, with a particular focus on prediction and prognostication in infiltrative and genetic cardiomyopathies. This work includes retrospective analysis of electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, and prospective validation of these tools.
